Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires 1–2 years of diversified environmental service work experience in healthcare or institutional settings.
• Ability to operate typical industrial cleaning equipment and follow cleaning techniques.
• Basic math skills and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Arizona fingerprint clearance card requirement for specific Banner facilities; compliance as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Responds promptly to cleaning service requests and maintains task/infection control logs.
• Performs specialty cleaning in clinical areas and infection control procedures.
• Maintains department equipment and logs out/in equipment.
• Assesses environmental conditions to ensure the facility is neat, clean, safe and orderly.
• Provides leadership for less experienced associates and may train staff in cleaning techniques and infection control.
• Performs scheduled floor care including mopping, stripping/refinishing, burnishing, and carpet extraction.
