Job summary

Hudson Regional Hospital in Hoboken, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This full-time night shift role runs 7:00 pm to 7:30 am with weekend rotations, delivering rapid assessments and life-saving care in a fast-paced ED.

You will triage, administer medications, monitor vitals, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to ensure safe patient outcomes and smooth operations in the emergency department.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey RN license.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's).
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS certification or must obtain within 6 months of hire date.
• PALS certification or must obtain within 6 months of hire date.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification or must obtain by end of orientation.
• Minimum 1 year experience in ED/acute care.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid and accurate patient assessments to determine severity and prioritize care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor vital signs and clinical status, document changes, and communicate critical information.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals on individualized care plans.
• Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and families during emergencies.
• Maintain accurate patient records including nursing notes and outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with ED best practices.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and infection control.
