Job summary

Hudson Regional Health in Hoboken, NJ is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department. The ED RN will perform rapid assessments, triage, administer medications, monitor vitals, and collaborate with physicians to develop care plans in a fast-paced setting.

Candidates must hold NJ RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS or willingness to obtain within 6 months, and 1 year ED/acute care experience. This is a part-time role with prorated benefits and rotating evenings to support 24/7

Qualifications

Current NJ RN license and eligibility to practice.
Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN).
BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
1 year ED/acute care experience required.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

Perform rapid patient assessments upon arrival to determine severity and triage appropriately.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring safety protocols.
Monitor vital signs and clinical status; communicate changes to the team.
Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop individualized care plans.
Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and families.
Maintain accurate nursing documentation including meds and treatment outcomes.
Engage in ongoing training and professional development for ED best practices.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
