Job summary

Hudson Regional Hospital in Hoboken, NJ is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department. This part-time night-shift role focuses on rapid assessment, triage, and delivering high-quality nursing care to patients with urgent needs.

You will collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, educate patients and families, and ensure accurate documentation and patient safety in a fast-paced ED environment.

Qualifications

• NJ RN license (Current and valid).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN).
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification or must obtain within 6 months of hire date.
• PALS certification or must obtain within 6 months of hire date.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification or obtain by end of orientation.
• Minimum 1 year ED/acute care experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid and accurate patient assessments upon ED arrival and prioritize care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed, following safety protocols.
• Monitor vital signs and clinical status continuously and communicate changes promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans.
• Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and families during emergencies.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation including notes, meds, and outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing training to stay current with ED best practices and protocols.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and infection control standards.

Associate's degree in Nursing
