Job summary

Medical City Denton is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for night shift (7p-7a) with weekend rotations. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ER, collaborating with providers and the care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Core duties include pain assessment and timely interventions, accurate documentation, educating patients and families, and discharge planning with a focus on compassionate care and safety.

Qualifications

• 1 year ER or ICU RN experience.
• Texas State RN license or compact license required. BSN preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS, PALS within 90 days of hire or transfer.
• TNCC and ENPC required within 18 months of hire or transfer; CEN encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and manage with timely reassessment.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, and document care in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Teach patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatments, and follow-up.
• Prepare patients and families for self-management and discharge.
