Job summary

Emerus is seeking an experienced ER nurse for a night shift in Schertz. The role focuses on assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in the Emergency Room, with duties spanning triage, documentation, and collaborating with physicians.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate’s Degree (BSN preferred), Texas RN licensure, and 2+ years ER experience, plus BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN licensure without sanctions.
• 2+ years full-time RN ER experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC preferred.
• Fluency in English, written and oral.
• PA: Act 33 and Act 73 clearances may be required before start.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize and provide age-specific nursing care in ER.
• Document accurately and legibly in medical records.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms and patient status.
• Follow physician orders in delivering nursing care.
• Perform admission, discharge and transfer procedures.
• Prepare equipment and assist with diagnostic procedures.
