Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department at Mount Carmel St. Ann's. The role involves three 12-hour night shifts per week (7pm–7:30am), with every third weekend and rotating holidays.

The RN will assess, plan, and deliver patient-centered care within Ohio Nursing Practice Act guidelines, collaborating with the care team to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Graduate from school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Ohio.
• For Casual RNs, 2 years of experience required.
• New graduate nurses with less than 1 year of clinical experience enroll in Nurse Residency Program.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care, ensuring patient safety and promoting evidence-based practice.
• Assesses and evaluates patient care with collaboration to develop a care plan including physical, spiritual, and educational components.
• Communicates pertinent information to team members in a timely manner and keeps patient/family updated.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately per standards and policies.
• Assumes responsibility for care provided and documented by others as appropriate.
