Job summary

Northwest Community Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Technician II for the Arlington Heights, IL area. This per diem night shift position runs from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms and ancillary areas, handling isolation/terminal cleanings, and maintaining supply levels while following safety guidelines. Previous hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Reports to Environmental Services Manager and performs patient room and ancillary area daily cleaning per standards.
• Cleans isolation/terminal rooms and equipment in patient areas including negative pressure spaces.
• Handles disposal of soiled linens and garbage and keeps carts and equipment clean and orderly.
• Uses cleaning chemicals safely and follows label instructions; ensures chemicals are labeled.
• Maintains adequate supplies in assigned areas and reports any needed repairs.
• Communicates with area manager daily to ensure service standards are met.
