Job summary

Endeavor Health is hiring an Environmental Services Technician II at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. You will perform daily cleaning of patient rooms and ancillary areas, including isolation/terminal rooms and equipment, with emphasis on safety and quality of service.

Position requires on-site duties with evenings 3pm–11:30pm, rotating weekends/holidays. Previous hospital experience preferred; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience with body mechanics.
• Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work on call and overtime including holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily patient room and ancillary area cleaning per standards, including isolation/terminal rooms.
• Clean and maintain equipment in patient rooms and ancillary areas.
• Prepare and label cleaning chemicals and ensure safe handling.
• Maintain supplies of paper, soap, and other disposables in assigned areas.
• Provide a positive customer service environment and communicate with area manager.
• Identify and report any equipment or facility repairs needed.
