Job summary

Endeavor Health Careers is hiring an Environmental Service Technician II for Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. The role covers patient room and ancillary area cleaning, including isolation/terminal cleaning and equipment sanitation. Hours are days 7:00am–3:30pm with rotating weekends; per diem as needed.

Strong attention to safety and customer service is required. You will support the Environmental Services Manager, maintain supply levels, and uphold department standards.

Qualifications

• Prefer high school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience with the correct use of body mechanics.
• Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
• Communications skills to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Organizational skills to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to work on call and overtime, including holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily patient room and ancillary area cleaning per standards, including isolation/terminal cleaning of rooms.
• Clean equipment used in patient rooms and keep carts and supplies orderly.
• Follow safety instructions for cleaning chemicals and label bottled chemicals.
• Maintain supplies of paper products, soap, seat covers, and sharps containers daily.
• Protect patient safety and quality standards while providing courteous service.
• Communicate daily with area manager to ensure service standards are met.
