Job summary

Intel Corporation's Arizona facilities seek a Shift Engineering Manager to lead the MEOS team on Shift 6 or Shift 4 in a 24x7 CWW operation. You will drive on-shift engineering excellence, coordinate with Factory Operations, Equipment, and Module Engineering, and develop talent while ensuring safety, quality, and velocity.

The role requires a Bachelor's with 4+ years or higher degrees and prior team leadership in semiconductor manufacturing; on-site in Arizona, with a comprehensive compensation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, OR Master's with 3+ years of relevant experience, OR PhD in engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of experience as a Team Lead or First Line Manager (FLM) in a technical or engineering environment.
• Domain-specific knowledge in semiconductor fabrication or package/assembly/test.
• Preferred: 2+ years in a 24x7 factory environment with problem-solving skills for tools, processes, and tool-facility interactions.
• Preferred: 2+ years hands-on experience in semiconductor fabrication or package/assembly/test.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing on-shift MEOS team of ~12 engineers focused on substrates technology development.
• Serve as the primary on-shift engineering escalation point and respond to MEOS escalations.
• Lead and respond to EOC events and obtain ERT/IC certification within the first year.
• Drive structured problem-solving on shift using MBPS to lead SWATs and task forces.
• Champion factory performance improvements in safety, quality, velocity, yield, capacity, and capability.
• Develop and execute a capability improvement roadmap and targeted staffing plans.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with Factory Ops, Equipment, Module, and Facilities Engineering.
• Optimize on-shift resource deployment to maximize value to organizational objectives.
• Build an engineering problem-solving culture and invest in tool health management.
