Job summary

MidState Medical Center, located at 435 Lewis Avenue, Hartford HealthCare network, invites applications for an Emergency Department RN. This role requires a BSN (preferred) and a CT RN license, with strong multi-tasking and patient-centered care in a high-volume ED.

Night shift, 7:15p-7:15a, every 3rd weekend and holiday; teamwork with interdisciplinary teams to deliver evidenced-based care and support to patients and families in a dynamic critical-care environment.

Qualifications

• BSN (preferred).
• Current RN license in state of Connecticut.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high volume environment.
• Self-directed in the management of patient care.
• Previous Emergency Nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in interdisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care.
• Adhere to the Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and medical staff directions.
• Develop and execute care plans addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational needs of patients and families.
