Job summary

MidState Medical Center in Connecticut is hiring an Emergency Department RN for night shift, 7:15 pm–7:15 am, with every 3rd weekend and holiday. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, this role applies evidence-based practices to plan and deliver patient-centered care in a high-volume ED.

The position requires a BSN (preferred) and an active CT RN license, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in state of Connecticut.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
• Self-directed in the management of patient care.
• Previous Emergency Nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered ED care.
• Develop and implement care plans using the nursing process to meet patient needs.
• Monitor, reassess, and document patient status in EPIC and the charting system.
