Job summary

MidState Medical Center in Connecticut is seeking an Emergency Department RN for night shift (7:15 p.m. – 7:15 a.m.), with 3rd weekend and holiday rotation. You will work within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced ED.

Under the Nurse Manager's supervision, you will apply the nursing process to plan and deliver care that meets physical, emotional, spiritual and cultural needs, while adhering to state Practice Act and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Current CT RN license.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
• Self-directed in patient care.
• Emergency Nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care.
• Utilize the nursing process to develop and implement a plan of care.
• Adhere to the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies and procedures.
• Meet physical, emotional, spiritual and cultural needs of patients and families.
