Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's MidState Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Department RN for night shift (7:15p-7:15a). The ED features 56 private rooms and EPIC charting, designated as a Primary Stroke Center, with a dedicated Behavioral Health Unit.

The role involves delivering patient-centered care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams under the Nurse Manager, following state practice acts and hospital policies. BSN preferred, CT RN license required.

Qualifications

• Current CT RN license is required.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
• Self-directed in patient care management.
• Previous Emergency Nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care under the direction of the Nurse Manager.
• Apply evidence-based practices in accordance with hospital policies and medical staff.
• Develop a care plan addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural and educational needs of patients and families.
