Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Tech for the Emergency Department night shift at Highland Park Hospital. Full-time, 36 hours/week, evenings 11am–11:30pm with rotating weekends. You will support patient flow, read and record charts, assist with transfers, and use PPE as required.

May lift up to 50 pounds and work under pressure to meet care needs. Requirements include eligible work in the US, CNA training preferred, one nursing rotation preferred, and current BLS certification with

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the US.
• CNA training course preferred.
• Completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred.
• Current BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider issued by American Heart Association (must be obtained within 90 days).
• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, prioritization, and the ability to follow directions.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical flow and duties with attention to patient care tasks and safety.
• Read and record patient charts; assess patients.
• Communicate with patients, healthcare team and masked coworkers.
• Assist with transferring patients and lifting up to 50 pounds in urgent situations.
• Wear PPE (including N95 or PAPR) as applicable.
• Move patients using appropriate equipment as needed.
• Work under pressure to meet patient care needs.
