Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Tech for the Emergency Department at Highland Park Hospital to work the night shift. This full-time role involves supporting patient care, safety, and coordination with the healthcare team.

Qualified candidates may have CNA training and must hold or obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire. Excellent interpersonal skills and basic computer literacy are expected. Benefits and growth opportunities are offered within Endeavor Health’s network.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the US.
• Completion of an accredited certified nursing assistant (CNA) training course preferred.
• Completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred.
• Current BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider issued by American Heart Association; if not current, must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork and the ability to prioritize and follow directions.
• Basic Computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Flow of work and character of duties involves normal mental, visual, auditory attention with manual dexterity for sustained periods.
• Requires visual acuity to assess patients and read/record charts.
• Requires auditory acuity to converse with patients and healthcare team wearing masks.
• Potential exposure to blood, body fluids and other hazardous materials.
• Able to work under pressure to meet patient care needs.
• Use patient movement equipment for lifts when transfers are non-emergency.
• In urgent events, may assist with lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Wear an N95 mask/PAPR and other PPE as applicable.
• Sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift throughout shift.
