Job summary

International Paper is seeking an Electrician A for our Lithonia, GA facility. The role requires proficiency in electrical trade skills, PLCs, drives, and safety compliance. You will support monthly PMs and maintenance across production equipment, working a 7/24 night shift schedule.

The position demands a high school equivalent, two years of industrial electrical experience, and teamwork. Strong diagnostic abilities and willingness to cover weekends and different shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• Electrical/Industrial Electronics Trade School graduation.
• Minimum of two years industrial electrical repair experience.
• Skilled troubleshooting with voltmeter.
• DC drives and variable frequency AC drives.
• Schematic reading and troubleshooting control circuits.
• Troubleshooting PLC controls with a laptop.
• Program a drive by setting up the initial parameters.
• Servicing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be willing to work weekends, including Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support to all production equipment at the Lithonia plant.
• Adhere to IP safety requirements (LOTT, Arc Flash, Hot Work, Lockout Forms).
• Lead major projects such as roll changes with strong knowledge and leadership.
