Job summary

International Paper in Lexington, SC is seeking an Industrial Electrical Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment. You will work with PLCs, motors and drives, and electrical and mechanical systems to maximize machine uptime.

The job requires lifting, operating hand tools, and following safety protocols in a loud plant, with training and pre-employment testing. Shift options include 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm, plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of maintenance experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment to maximize run time
• Utilize PLCs, AC/DC motors and drives, schematics, and other electrical systems
• Set up and operate basic metalworking tools to fabricate or repair parts
• Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE
• Assist with plant startup tasks and energizing equipment
• Diagnose and replace faulty electrical/electronic components and wiring
