Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• AS or BS in Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety, Ergonomics, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related discipline preferred.
• Experience in health and safety role in private sector or regulatory environment.
• Ability to influence and communicate effectively with Supervisors and Associates.
• Organized with meticulous attention to detail and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day EHS operations and process management.
• Develop and maintain communication between all organizations within production operations.
• Assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS management system processes.
• Assist in designing safe workspaces for employees to follow that minimize job-related hazards.
• Provide support for EHS programs such as Lockout-Blockout-Tagout (LOBOTO), Hazard Communication, Emergency Response, Fall Protection, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, etc.
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and supporting all EHS requirements, programs, policies and procedures as necessary
• The EHS Associate position is primarily night shift; must be able to work flexible shifts including swings, nights and/or weekends as business necessity.
