Job summary

Giti Tire USA Ltd. in Chester, SC seeks an EHS Specialist I – Night Shift to support environmental, health and safety programs across the facility.

You will train employees, perform inspections, respond to incidents, and drive continuous improvement while partnering with production, maintenance and management. This role includes onboarding, refresher training, audits, PPE management, and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered.
• Experience in manufacturing, environmental, health, and safety, or related technical fields preferred.
• Experience delivering training or leading employee development programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Onboard new hires and conduct EHS orientation training.
• Facilitate annual refresher training and other required EHS programs.
• Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Coordinate PPE program and safety shoe program administration.
• Support continuous improvement projects and cost-savings initiatives.
• Lead employee outreach and engagement to promote safety across shifts.

Education

Associate degree or higher in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
