Job summary

Mount Carmel Grove City is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for a full-time 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with rotating weekends and holidays. You will provide patient care sensitively, assist with traumas, wire labs, EKGs, phlebotomy, wound care, and chart vital signs while coordinating with RNs and physicians.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, BLS, and phlebotomy/EKG training. Relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in health-related field preferred.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responds to patient needs in a timely manner.
• Transfers and escorts patients.
• Performs phlebotomy and collects lab specimens.
• Assists with trauma, stroke, heart and sepsis alerts and resuscitation.
• Performs wound care and sterile technique when needed.
• Assists with suture and staple removal (excluding face).
• Performs Foley care and collects specimens.
• Records vital signs and patient data; reports changes to RN/physician.
