Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center. Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with multi-state compact and/or state privileges to practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• No formal RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care from admission to post-discharge.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, mobilize resources, and collaborate with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Uphold and promote a culture of safety.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely per protocols.
• Maintain clear EHR documentation and effective communication across the team.
• May float to other units or facilities to meet patient care needs.
