Job summary

WellSpan Health seeks an ED Registration Clerk to support patient admissions at the Emergency Department. You will greet patients, collect biographical and financial information, enter data into registration and billing systems, and coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.

You will handle insurance details, co-pays, searches for patient records, and maintain confidentiality while delivering compassionate, efficient service during all shifts.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with patients, families and staff.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to navigate multiple software systems.
• Ability to handle confidential information accurately and discreetly.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to collect financial and biographic data for registrations.
• Record insurance information, collect co-pays and authorizations.
• Greet and assist patients and visitors; direct to appropriate resources.
• Answer phones professionally and relay messages or escalate as needed.
• Enter and retrieve data in registration and billing systems; assist with patient records.
• Maintain patient records and documentation to support admissions and transfers.
