Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an ED Tech to provide direct patient care under supervision, assisting with basic tasks, vital signs, mobility, and documentation in EPIC. The role supports RNs and adheres to policies and safety guidelines.

Night shift, 36 hours per week, in the Emergency Department - St. Joseph. Requires High School Diploma or GED and BLS preferred; EMR/EMT/STNA credentials encouraged. Training provided; opportunities for growth within a mission-driven health system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred upon hire; must obtain from approved source before direct patient care.
• Current EMR/EMT/STNA certification or nursing school enrollment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and comfort, vitals, mobility, lab draws, ECGs, and wound care under RN guidance.
• Document patient information accurately in EPIC.
• Assist with 1:1 safety companion and report changes to nursing staff.
• Participate in handoffs and ensure quality and safety in patient care.
