Job summary

thyssenkrupp Supply Chain Services in Kyle, TX is seeking a dispatcher to coordinate truck movements and ensure timely pickups and deliveries, while delivering professional customer service.

The role requires 1–2 years of administrative experience, proficiency with MS Excel and Word, knowledge of DOT regulations, and the ability to assign drivers, monitor routes, and maintain records. Night shift Friday through Monday 6:00pm–4:30am.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years administrative experience required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with MS Excel and Word.
• Ability to work without supervision.
• Prior experience/exposure to logistics or trucking operations.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations as they pertain to trucking environment.

Responsibilities

• Record and allocate all delivery/pickup requests within territories among drivers.
• Consolidate freight orders into truckloads for destinations.
• Record information for proper billing.
• Assign drivers and trucks; call in extra drivers as needed.
• Maintain radio/phone contact with trucks and customers professionally.
• Maintain vehicle inventory and accurate trailer records for billing.
• Document and report equipment damages; maintain metrics for management.
• Seek backhaul loads and complete admin duties timely.
• Support health, safety and 6S initiatives as required.
