Job summary

thyssenkrupp is seeking a Logistics Dispatcher to coordinate and direct the movement of trucks and freight to ensure pickups and deliveries are completed efficiently and on time. You will represent the company with professional customer service and maintain accurate records for billing and operations.

The role requires 1-2 years administrative experience, proficiency in MS Excel/Word, and knowledge of DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years administrative experience required.
• Experience with logistics or trucking operations preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations as they pertain to trucking.
• Ability to work under pressure and at a fast pace.

Responsibilities

• Record and allocate delivery and pickup requests within territories.
• Consolidate freight orders into truckloads for destinations.
• Maintain records for proper billing.
• Assign drivers and trucks; call in extra drivers when needed.
• Maintain radio/phone contact with trucks and respond to emergencies.
