Job summary

Cadient, LLC in Rochester is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a 36-hour Friday, Saturday and Sunday night shift (9:00 pm to 9:00 am). The DSP provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.

A high school diploma or GED is desired; post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. A NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Post-high-school education in Human Services is a plus.
• Valid NYS driver’s license and basic computer knowledge required.
• Training includes Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR.
• Medication Administration Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and in the community.
• Assist residents with daily living activities and community outings.
• Foster engaging, safe activities and supportive interactions.
• Ensure safety and well-being during shifts.
