Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to join AWS operations in Covington, GA. This night shift role (approx. 6pm–8am) requires flexibility and travel within the region to support 24/7 data center operations.

You will install equipment, perform hardware fixes, troubleshoot networks, document processes, and help onboard new team members as part of a diverse, global infrastructure team. Relocation stipends are offered to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
• Willingness to work evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshooting network issues, and responding to operational incidents that impact service availability.
• Serving as a primary contact point for both internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors
• Performing on-call duties and participating in scheduled maintenance and change management activities
• Contributing to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on your analysis of operational issues
• Helping to train and onboard new team members
