Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a NIGHTS Data Center Engineering Technician to join our mission-critical facilities team in Covington, GA.

You will perform hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance on data center infrastructure, including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems, ensuring high uptime and safety standards. You will monitor BMS/EPMS, troubleshoot events, document changes, and support rack-level work with contractors, while potentially rotating sites and

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, or holidays in a 24/7/365 environment

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
• Monitor BMS and EPMS systems
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
• Technical writing to support change management
• On-site support of contractors and vendors ensuring compliance with procedures
