Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Georgia is seeking a NIGHTS Data Center Engineering Technician to oversee hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance of mission-critical facilities, including standby generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, chillers, and cooling systems.

You will perform rounds, troubleshoot, and participate in change management to ensure 99.999% uptime. This role requires travel between data center sites, ability to work nights, and collaboration with contractors to maintain safety

Qualifications

2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance.
2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Monitor daily building rounds and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
Perform rack installs and decommissioning within internal SLA.
Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
Technical writing to support change management program.
Monitor daily work requests and drive to resolution; execute projects from conception to completion.
On-site support of contractors and vendors ensuring compliance with practices and local laws.
