Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Manager for Night Shift to oversee a diverse team responsible for keeping cloud infrastructure running at multiple data centers.

You will mentor staff, sponsor projects, and propose technical solutions while coordinating hardware diagnostics, repairs, and on-call rotations. You will lead efforts to meet KPIs, improve processes, and scale operations across locations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years IT experience or a Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Math.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• 2+ years of operations/on-call support for data center facilities.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators.
• Manage the performance of diverse data center operation teams across locations.
• Develop career paths for employees and update internal tools.
• Recruit and train data technicians to ensure staffing levels.
• Ensure day-to-day data center operations including queue management and 24/7 shift rotation.
• Lead incident response for large-scale events and outages.
• Drive process improvements, tech innovation, and automation.
• Maintain KPIs and performance metrics for operations.
