Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Oregon is seeking a Data Center Facilities Manager (Night Shift) to lead critical physical infrastructure, including power and cooling systems, across our data centers.

You will guide a 24x7 engineering team, coordinate with vendors, and drive improvements with strong safety and reliability focus. The role requires deep knowledge of UPS, generators, HVAC, and related systems, plus experience managing budgets and on-call incident response.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 4+ years of work in a management position with 5 or more direct reports experience.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in a data center or other mission critical environment with knowledge in UPS, Generators, HVAC, Evaporators and other critical infrastructure OR 7+ years of Technical (Military/Trade School) training and/or experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the data center's critical physical infrastructure.
• Manage teams of 24x7 engineering technicians in all facets of their career.
• Engage in improvement projects, often requiring reaching out to a variety of support teams, and drive them from conception to completion.
• Coordinates daily with a multitude of third‑party vendors ensuring adherence to contracted SLAs.
• Effectively and efficiently manage the operations budget and expenditures.
• Routinely operate as the after‑hour on‑call Data Center Facility Manager for the data centers in the region.
