Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Team Leader for a nightshift, on-site role at the Barker, NY data center. You will lead engineering staff, manage preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and uptime in critical facilities.

You will review service summaries, guide complex repairs, and drive continuous improvement with cross-disciplinary teams, while modeling CBRE RISE values and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Must meet physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, stairs, ladders and able to lift 50 lbs+.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and inquisitive mindset.
• Ability to perform mildly complex calculations (percentages, fractions).
• Ability to influence diverse stakeholders and teams.
• Experience coaching others and sharing knowledge across disciplines.
• Leading by example and aligning with CBRE RISE values.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering staff work, ensure completion, and maintain client spaces.
• Review monthly service summaries to identify recurring issues.
• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program for building systems.
• Inspect fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing for design and environmental compliance.
• Estimate time/materials for repairs and maintain inventory.
• Assist team with complex repairs, emergencies, and maintenance.
• Drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across teams.
• Coach team members to broaden expertise across disciplines.
• Model CBRE RISE values in leadership and decision making.
