Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking an Overnight Maintenance Technician to service a Barker, NY data center on-site. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, repairs, and system improvements for mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.

You will review work orders, document progress, and ensure safety and compliance. The position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs, pass physical requirements, and communicate clearly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or trade school diploma; 1–2 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Able to meet physical requirements including lifting 50 lbs or more.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in task execution.
• Good communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical and building systems.
• Carry out routine maintenance inspections and diagnose potential problems.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review work orders and track completion with systems tools.
• Support energy management by ensuring building systems run efficiently.
• Inspect installations for compliance with codes and safety regulations.
• Use established procedures to solve straightforward problems and communicate clearly.
• Contribute to team output by following defined duties and processes under supervision.
• Deliver quality results by adhering to procedures and timelines.
