Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is hiring a Data Centers Operations Engineer for night shift in Amarillo/Claude, TX. You will ensure uptime and performance of electrical and mechanical systems across data centers, including UPS, generators, chillers, and HVAC.

The role requires at least 2+ years in a data center or critical facility, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and ability to work night shifts with a 6pm start.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a data center or critical facility.
• Experience with building systems including UPS, emergency generators, and switchgears.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with CMMS, vendor management, and customer-facing tickets.

Responsibilities

• Deliver best practice systems and problem resolution for data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
• Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure 100% uptime of live systems (HVAC, chillers, crah/crac, electrical, pumps, piping).
• Record readings and adjust operations to ensure proper equipment performance.
• Analyze system operations to identify root causes of problems and take corrective action.
• Follow safety and hazardous materials handling policies.
• Manage work orders, vendor relations, and customer-facing tickets.
• Assist with incident management and site emergencies.
