Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is hiring a Building Engineer for Data Centers in Amarillo, TX. The role oversees delivery of best practice electrical and mechanical infrastructure with night shifts starting at 6pm, 3–4 days per week.

The position entails preventive maintenance, incident management, and coordination of CMMS/work orders, with opportunities to grow in a dynamic data center environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in data center/critical facility.
• Experience with building systems including UPS, emergency generators, and switchgears.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Suite and CMMS.
• EPA 608 certification preferred.
• NFPA70E training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance of building systems to ensure 100% uptime (fire/life safety, HVAC, chillers, CRAC/CRAH, plumbing, controls).
• Record readings and adjust operations to ensure proper equipment performance.
• Analyze system operations, diagnose faults, and take corrective action.
• Manage work orders, CMMS, vendor management, and customer-facing tickets.
• Follow emergency escalation procedures and perform additional duties as required.
