Job summary

Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, KS, is hiring a full-time Custodian to maintain clean, safe interior spaces. Responsibilities include daily cleaning, dusting, restroom upkeep, light fixture care, HVAC vent cleaning, and assisting other staff, with a willingness to work shifts including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Custodial experience preferred.
• Neat, clean appearance portraying a positive image to students, staff and community members.
• Ability to work as needed, including day, evening, and weekend hours substituting for absent coworkers.
• Cooperate with students, college personnel, and the community.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director and/or Coordinators of the Facilities department.
• Successful completion of a physical capacity and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of buildings including dusting, cleaning windows, floors, walls, and furniture, restroom fixtures, toilets, sinks, etc.
• Maintain interior spaces from ceiling to floor, including cleaning light fixtures and replacing bulbs, cleaning HVAC vents, and changing filters.
• Assist other employees as needed.
• Willingness to work days, evenings, and/or weekend hours as necessary.
• Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and perform responsibilities as assigned.
• Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.
• Serve actively on campus committees.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director and/or Coordinators of the Facilities department.
