Job summary

Hutchinson Community College is seeking a part‑time custodian to perform daily cleaning of campus buildings and assist Facilities staff. The role requires reliability, a neat appearance, and the ability to work daytime, evening, or weekend shifts as needed.

The position involves maintaining interior spaces, handling custodial tools, and adhering to college policies. Staff will support campus committees and may take on additional duties as required by the Director or Facilities Coordinators.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial work preferred.
• Able to present a neat, positive image to students, staff and community members.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings and/or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of buildings including dusting, windows, floors, walls and furniture, restroom fixtures, toilets and sinks.
• Maintain interior spaces from ceiling to floor; clean light fixtures, replace bulbs, clean HVAC vents and change filters.
• Assist other employees as needed.
• Willingness to work days, evenings, and/or weekend hours as necessary.
• Arrive on time for work, attend regularly, and perform duties effectively.
• Comply with HutchCC policies and practices.
• Serve actively on campus committees.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director and/or Coordinators of the Facilities department.
