Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will participate as a valued member of a collaborative care team, applying your radiologic expertise on a busy shift.

The role emphasizes ALARA principles, accurate documentation, and compassionate patient interactions, with a 36-hour night shift and full-time scheduling. The Wellstar CareerCare program supports education and career progression.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines and capture diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust techniques to optimize quality.
• Maintain clean, disinfected rooms and report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and ensure patient IDs before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol using proper venipuncture techniques.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat if needed.
• Document studies accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers.
