Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist for a full-time night shift. You will apply imaging expertise to deliver safe, high-quality CT procedures and support a patient-centric experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required.
• ARRT-R certification required; ARRT-CT certification required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines.
• Operate imaging equipment independently and maintain diagnostic quality with ALARA principles.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment; report issues promptly.
• Verify orders and patient identity before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep to patients using AIDET to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient privacy, comfort, and safety during visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol with proper venipuncture technique.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and perform repeats if needed.
• Document and finalize studies in RIS/PACS and manage transfers as required.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock life-support equipment as needed.
• Organize daily workflows to meet department timeframes and support cross-modality collaboration.
