Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist for the Cobb Hospital radiology team in Georgia. The role focuses on delivering safe, high-quality CT imaging and a patient-centered experience on a 36-hour night shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, BLS (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture diagnostic-quality images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain radiation doses to ALARA standards.
• Maintain infection control, clean rooms/equipment, and report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep using AIDET to reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout visits.
• Prepare and administer contrast per protocol using sterile technique.
• Position patients, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
