Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will perform CT procedures, ensure patient comfort, and collaborate with a skilled care team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• 1 year experience in Radiology required.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and ensure two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and address patient questions.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture where applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and release patients appropriately.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with crash carts.
• Organize daily workflows to support department operations.
