Cooper Norcross Health is seeking a Critical Care Tech for the Kelemen 9 Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit in Camden. The role supports RNs in care delivery, including ADLs, phlebotomy, EKGs, and patient monitoring. ACLS/BLS certifications are required, and PCT training with CPCT-A is preferred.

The position involves 7PM–7AM shifts, three shifts weekly, with every third weekend and select holidays assigned. Competitive hourly pay reflects experience and certifications.

Competenze

• 0-2 years’ experience required.
• High School/GED required.
• Successful completion of Patient Care Technician training and have an active Patient Care Technician Certification required.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification required.
• Successful completion of CPCT-A certification required.
• ACLS certification desired as part of advanced care.

Mansioni

• Support patients’ activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, hygiene, mobility, transport) and follow standard precautions.
• Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, point of care testing, EKGs, Foley catheter care as directed by RN and document appropriately.
• Identify and communicate changes in patient status to RN and respond appropriately, maintaining safe patient practices.
• Reinforce education for patients and families regarding care needs and safety.
• Participate in patient satisfaction initiatives, performance improvement activities, and assist in orienting new hires.
• Complete annual hospital and unit-specific competencies by the required due date.
• Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards to ensure a safe environment and high-quality patient care.
• Demonstrate effective communication with patients, visitors, and coworkers.
• Capable of identifying and communicating changes in patient status.
