Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health is seeking a Critical Care Tech for a night shift on a two-sided Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit in Camden, NJ. Under the direction of an RN, you will assist with activities of daily living and support the care plan, with emphasis on safety and quality patient care.

The role requires 0–2 years of experience, High School/GED, PCT training and certification, and BLS (CPCT-A preferred). Shift: 7PM–7AM, 3 shifts weekly, with every 3rd weekend and a holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years’ experience required.
• High School/GED required; completion of Patient Care Technician training and active PCT certification required.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; CPCT-A certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and support the care plan under RN direction.
• Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, point-of-care testing, EKGs, and catheter care as directed.
• Identify and communicate changes in patient status to the RN and respond appropriately.
• Reinforce education for patients and families about care needs and safety.
• Support patient satisfaction initiatives and participate in orientation of new hires.
• Complete required competencies and adhere to safety and quality standards.
