Job summary

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Successful completion of Patient Care Technician training with active PCT certification required.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification required; CPCT-A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patients' activities of daily living and follow precautions.
• Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, point of care testing, EKGs and Foley care as directed.
• Communicate changes in patient status to RN and support safe patient practices.
• Reinforce education for patients and families and participate in safety initiatives.
• Complete unit-specific competencies by the due date and assist in orientation.
