Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health in Camden, NJ seeks a Certified Critical Care Technician for the Kelemen 8 North unit. This full-time night position supports RNs and cares for patients with telemetry-enabled medical-surgical needs.

The role requires PCT certification, BLS, and 0-2 years of experience. You'll assist with activities of daily living, perform phlebotomy, vital signs, EKGs, and catheter care, and participate in rounds and education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Successful completion of Patient Care Technician training and active PCT certification required.
• 0-2 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, hygiene, mobility, transport) and follow standard precautions.
• Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, point of care testing, EKGs, Foley catheter care and document appropriately.
• Identify and communicate changes in patient status to RN and respond appropriately.
• Reinforce education for patients and families regarding care needs and safety.
• Participate in patient satisfaction initiatives, performance improvement activities, and assist in orienting new hires.
• Complete annual hospital and unit-specific competencies by the required due date.
• Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards to ensure a safe environment and high-quality patient care.
• Effective communication with patients, visitors, and coworkers.
