Minimum qualifications include an Associate degree (BSN preferred), Iowa RN license, BLS, ACLS within 12 months, TNCC, and NVCI within 6 months. Strong critical thinking and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license; IL license if working in IL.
• BLS and Mandatory Reporter. ACLS within 12 months of hire.
• TNCC.
• NVCI within 6 months of hire.
• High language and math skills; strong critical thinking.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to work with diverse groups and under pressure; capable leader.

Responsibilities

• Conducts an initial assessment to gather data.
• Identifies patient problems and develops them into an outcome-based plan of care.
• Implements the outcome-based plan of care.
• Evaluates patient progress and revises plans as needed.
• Communicates relevant clinical information to the team to optimize outcomes.
• Demonstrates clinical competence and age-appropriate care for unit patients.
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and policies; ensures compliance with laws and regulations.
