Job summary

MercyOne Trinity Health is seeking an ICU RN for Float role on the Night Shift. The position offers full-time 36 hours weekly with a 7 PM–7 AM schedule, night differential, and a relocation incentive. Essential duties include patient assessments, care coordination, and ECMO support where applicable.

Strong clinical and leadership abilities are required in a high-stress environment. Minimum qualifications include an Associate degree (BSN preferred), Iowa RN license, BLS, ACLS within 12 months,

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required; ACLS within 12 months of hire.
• Cardiac monitoring and unit-appropriate competencies are expected.
• Ability to work with diverse groups and under pressure; leadership skills emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments; develops outcome-based plans of care.
• Coordinates and delivers patient care; delegates tasks and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams.
• Reassesses patients, updates care plans, and documents thoroughly.
• Effectively communicates patient status and care needs across teams and during shift transitions.
• Follows protocols; administers medications safely; demonstrates system proficiency.
• Provides advanced ECMO patient care where applicable; manages circuit data and education.
