Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree from a COARC-approved Respiratory Care Program is required.
• RRT certification is required.
• NCRCB licensure is required.
• BCLS certification by the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Administer continuous oxygen and bland aerosol therapy per guidelines.
• Perform intermittent therapy and diagnostic procedures per guidelines.
• Access medications from the Medication Security Area to support care per policies.
• Initiate and maintain mechanical ventilation with documentation.
• Provide airway management and assist during emergency resuscitation, including intubations when approved.
• Assess patient condition and adjust care per protocols.
• Operate and monitor department equipment for all ages.
• Serve as charge therapist in supervisor absence.
• Charge for services, including BCX system usage.
• Other duties as assigned.
